the clich\u00e9 with little, partial or inconsistent ink, the failure is in the <strong>clich\u00e9-to-pad pickup stage<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check these areas before changing silicone formulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Check the Pad Surface<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inspect for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul wear<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pad may still look generally usable while its transfer consistency has already deteriorated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If release was good initially but worsened over time, surface contamination or wear should move higher on the troubleshooting list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oil or grease<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fingerprints<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mold-release contamination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Low surface energy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Missing or inconsistent pretreatment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ink\/substrate incompatibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A useful comparison is to print with the same pad and ink onto a <strong>known-good substrate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If release is clean there but poor on the production component, investigate the substrate before modifying the pad formulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A release problem can originate on the receiving surface\u2014not only on the silicone Transfers but Then Rubs Off? That Is Not a Pad-Release Failure<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the pad picks up the image, transfers it to the part and becomes relatively clean afterward, the pad has already completed the transfer step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If the printed image then wipes, scratches or peels off, focus on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ink\/substrate compatibility<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Surface contamination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pretreatment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Surface energy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drying or curing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If the pad has already released the ink, changing pad hardness is unlikely to solve an adhesion problem.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This diagnostic boundary prevents unnecessary changes to a pad that is already doing its job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr
