Do you like to make things? Maybe you like to make little toys. Or candy! We can use something called silicona líquida to make moldes. Moldes help us make lots of the same thing. It’s like magic!

What is Liquid Silicone?

Liquid silicone is like a thick, gooey liquid. It can be poured! But it’s not like water. It’s special. When it gets hard, it’s like rubber. We use it to make moldes.1

What are Molds?

How Do We Use It?

4. Take it out: We take out the thing we copied. Now we have a molde!

Different Types of Liquid Silicone

There are different kinds of liquid silcone rubber.

• Tin Cure Silicone: This one is not as fuerte. It’s good for simple things.4

Making Molds Better

Sometimes, there are little bubbles in the silicona líquida. These are not good! They can make the molde not perfect.

We can use a special machine. It’s called a vacuum pump. It sucks out the air! No more bubbles.5 This makes the moldes very smooth. Ninety out of one hundred, there were a lot of bubbles, and that is way too many bubbles, buy with the special machine, no more bubbles.
