Potting Compound Silicones

This goop is like a soft coat for small parts inside your games, phones, and even big things like cars! It keeps them safe and happy. The goop is made of silicone, like some toys that bend.

What Does This Goop Do?

• It keeps things dry, like a raincoat.
• It keeps things from getting too hot or cold.
• Keeps things from being broken.
• It keeps things safe, also from fire.
• Stays strong.

It’s Like a Little House!

Think of a tiny computer in a car. That computer helps the car go. But the car gets very hot and moves a lot! Our silicone goop is like a soft bed around the computer. The computer does not get too hot. It does not shake too much. Look at this:

It’s Really, Really Good!

Some things get very hot, like some lights. This goop can help! It can be in a place that is very cold, like outside in winter. It can be in a place that is very hot, like near a fire. It stays good!

The Good Things	What it Means and How It Helps!
Moves Heat (0.8 W/m·K)	This tells how good the goop is at letting heat go away. A big number means it’s good at keeping things cool!
Stops Sparks (>20 kV/mm)	This goop stops sparks. It stops the little zaps of electricity. A big number means more safe!
Soft and Bends (Shore A 20-40)	It is not hard. It can bend and move. This is good for things that move, like your toys and clothes with little lights!, wearables!.
Strong to Sun and Water	Water and sun can hurt some things. The goop does not let water get to the important parts inside!.
Stops Fire (UL 94 V-0)	If there is a fire, this goop helps stop it. It is very safe!
Easy to Pour(500-3000cP)	The goop can be poured like honey. Not too fast, so you have time.
Good for Earth (RoHS/REACH)	This means it’s safe for you and for animals and plants!
Gets Hard Fast or Slow (RTV Cure)	You decide how fast it becomes solid.
Water Runs Away! (Hydrophobic Design)	This word means it hates water. Stays 100% dry. Keeps water away.
